CAFCC: Enyimba suffer defeat as Ranger pick first point

Nigeria representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup Enyimba International and Enugu Rangers recorded not too impressive performance in their match-day 3 of African club championship matches played on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Nigeria champions Enyimba who defeated San Pedro in the match day 2 failed to consolidate on their victory as they lost to Algeria side A.C. Paradou 1-0.

The People's Elephant put up a good fight but it was Abdulkader Ghorab who decided the game in the 64th minute with a decent finish and condemned Enyimba to their second defeat in the competition.

Enyimba now has 3 points in 3 matches as they await Paradou in the match day 4 in the new year.

Meanwhile, another Nigeria team Enugu Rangers secured its first point in the competition as they held host Nouhadbibou of Mauritania to a goalless draw.

The Flying Antelope lost their fisrt two matches in the group to FC Pyramids and Al Masry both of Egypt.

With the results Rangers remained 3rd on the table with just a point.
