CAFCC: Enyimba thrash San Pedro, secure quarter final ticket

Nigeria's representative in the CAF Confederations Cup, Enyimba international progressed into the quarter final of the competition in an emphatic fashion with a win over San Pedro in Coted'Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Before the match, the Peoples' Elephants required a win in their last group D fixture against San Pedro to have any realistic chance of securing a passage into the quarter final
Enyimba scored twice in 3 minute through Abdulrahman Bashir and Victor Mbaoma before Jimoh Sherif reduced the deficit for the hosts.
Midfielder Austin Oladapo netted the third goal in an explosive game dominated by Enyimba but Zan Bi made it 2-3 in the 44th minute.
The away side continued its domination of the game in the second stanza and Mbaoma completed his brace in the 75th minute to make 2-4.
Stanley Dimgba completed the whitewash in the 85th minute and secured an amazing 2-5 win for Enyimba.
The victory ensured that Enyimba progressed into the quarter final of the competition.
Enyimba played at the Semi final of the same competition last season losing to Raja Casablanca over the two legs.
