Enugu Rangers suffered their first defeat in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after going down to a 2-1 defeat to Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel in their matchday -three encounter in Sousse on Sunday, BSNSports reports. Rangers looked as though they would earn an away win after taking the lead through Bright Silas in the 15th minute, but worse was to come to the Nigerian AIETO Cup champions. The hosts fought back and restore their parity through Iheb Msakni 10 minutes before half time. Sadam Ben Aziza scored the winning goal for Etoile du Sahel late in the game, handing them their first win of the group stage. Rangers drop to second position in the table following the loss. The Enugu club have four points from three games. Gbenga Ogunbote’s men will host Etoile du Sahel in their next game in the competition next week Sunday.
