Head Coach of the Nigeria's representative in the confederation cup Enyimba international Finidi George has set his eyes in securing a favourable result away from home against Al Ittihad, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The 2-time African champion was drawn against the Libyan side on Tuesday in the 2nd preliminary round of the competition.
The People Elephant in the last round defeated Diamba FC of Senegal 0-1 away in Dakar before wrapping the game up in Aba with another 3-0.
While speaking on the draw Finidi said they will prepare very for the game and they will work to good result away from home.
" “We have seen the draw against Al Ittihad, “We’ll prepare very, very well for that game.
“If you are aspiring to do well in the CAF Confederation Cup, I think you have to be ready for any of the teams. We’ll prepare very, very well.
“Luckily for us, first game is away, and we will see how we can assess them.”
“Playing the first game away doesn’t really mean anything and coming home, this is CAF competition, everything is possible.
You just have to do your homework very, very well to make sure that you don’t get beaten so easily.
So, we’ll try and do our best to make sure that we play good football. And inasmuch as we’re trying to play football, we’ll try to have a good result over there.
When we get home, definitely, we’ll do our homework again and make sure we get a good result. So, that’s what we are going to do.
“It’s never easy playing these competitions, but we know what it takes, Enyimba has been there before.
We know what it takes to play games like this and we’ll get the boys prepared for that game," he said.
Enyimba will played the first leg away before hosting the second leg at the Enyimba International stadium in Aba.
