CAFCC; Rangers approach CAF For a change in match-day time
By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the match day one of the CAF Confederation cup group stage, one of Nigeria's representative Enugu Rangers has requested for a time change for the kick off.
The Flying Antelope secured its passage to the group stage of the competition after defeating ASC Kara of Togo over the two legs.
According to the rules of the competition it's the duty of the soccer governing body to fix kick off time for the matches starting from the group stage.
CAF has fixed Rangers opening match slated for 1st of December for 2pm and Rangers through the chairman, Davidson Owumi has asked for a change in time.
"We understand and appreciate the fact that CAF reserves the right to fix time for matches from the group stage of the competition but we find it extremely difficult to factor in the 2.00 pm time it has picked for us due largely to the humidity of the season,” Owumi said.
Rangers are in the same group with two Egyptian giants Al Masry and Pyramid FC and Nouhadbou of Mauritania.
