CAFCC: Rangers edge ASC Kara of Togo

Ranger International are through to the group stage of tyre 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup after a 1-0 victory over ASC Kara of Togo in the second leg at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, State, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Nigeria representative in the CAF Confederation cup, Enugu Rangers have finally put an end to the hope of Togolese side ASC Kara of progressing to the group stage of the competition.
The Togo's football teams have been dominating their Nigeria counterparts in recent time with back to back victory over Super Eagles B team and recent 2-1 win over Rangers in the first leg of the confederation cup.
It was Ezikwe Chinoso that netted the decider in the firs half and gives the Flying Antelopes a deserved 1-0 win.
All the efforts of the Togolese side to leveled the scoreline were nullified by organised defense line of the Nigeria side.
Rangers progressed to the group stage via away goal rule after the two legs ended 2-2 on aggregates, having lost the first leg 1-2 in Lome.
The former Nigeria champion will be campaigning in the group of the competition for the second consecutive time.
They were grouped alongside two Tunisia Ligue one sides Etoile Du Sahel and CS Sfaxien, with KCAA of Uganda completing the group in 2018.
