CAFCC: AS Pelican must be stop - Madu

With few hours to the much awaited return leg of the CAF Confederation cup between Nigeria's representative Enugu Rangers and AS Pelican of Gabon, defender Chiamaka Madu has affirmed that the Gabonese side must be beaten.

The Flying Antelopes lost the first leg narrowly 2-1 in Librevill despite scoring early in the encounter.

The mercurial midfielder stated that they must win the game for their numerous fans and ensure they secure group stage ticket.

" I think the game is a must win for us if we must qualify for the next round of the competition, the expectations of our fans all over the world is to get a win against Pelican of Gabon which am sure we are prepared to get due to to the high intensity training by our coaches," he said.

Former Nigeria professional league champion crashed out at the group stage of the tournament last season.
