CAFCC: Simba SC Gets USD $22,000 For Reaching Quarterfinals By Uche Dozie Tanzanian giant Simba Sport Club were presented with a cheque of USD $22,000 (Tsh. 50,000.000) by their main sponsor SportPesa as bonus for reaching the 2020/2021 Total CAF Champions League Quarterfinal stage where they were eliminated by Kaizer Chiefs, BSNSports.com.ng reports. SportPesa who is the club's major sponsor had set up a bonus system to reward the team's good performance whether in the local league or African continent. SportPesa CEO, Tarimba Abbas expressed delight over Simba's achievement and how it has helped the image of their brand. "Simba continues to do justice to our brand SportPesa, today we have handed over a cheque for Sh 50,000,000 as a bonus for successfully reaching the quarter-finals of the African Champions League as per our contract agreement," said Tarimba. For her part, The Chief Executive of the Club, Barbara Gonzalez thanked their sponsor. "On behalf of the Lions Club, I commend SportPesa for what they are doing. The amount they give us helps us with various aspects of team management and we are proud to work with them, ”said Barbara.
