Few days after the first leg game of the champions league against Nigeria's Rivers United, head coach of the Sudanese side Al Hilal, Ricardo Formosinho still believed the centre referee was responsible for the outcome of the game, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Despite scoring first, Al Hilal succumbed to the firepower of the Rivers United and was able to get a draw from the tie.
The gaffer in his reaction blamed the officials saying he curtailed some of their attacking moves.
" I witnessed worst refereeing in my life, we were subjected to great injustice, the referee deliberately spoiled some of the offensive moves.
We have distinct elements, we were able to implement the strategy that we set and work on during the training sessions", he said.
The two teams will clash again in the second leg with the winner over moving to the group stage.
