CAFCL: Al Hilal Deports Rivers United To Confederation Cup Sampson Adedeji Sudanese side Al Hilal successfully sent Rivers United to the African second-tier competition, Confederation Cup on Sunday, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Al Hilal held the Nigeria side Rivers United to a 1-1 draw last week at the Adoke Amasiamaka stadium in Port-Harcourt. At its adopted home in Suez, Egypt Al Hilal defeated Rivers United by a lone goal and secured qualification to the group stage. All hope is not lost for the Pride of Rivers as they will be competing in the consideration cup and they will know their next opponent on Tuesday. A win for the Rivers State-based club in the final preliminary round of the confederation cup will put them in the group stage of the competition.
