CAFCL: Ashanti Kotoko gets new captain for Pillars match

Ahead of the much awaited CAF Champion league first round first leg match between Nigeria's professional league side Kano Pillars and their Ghana counterparts Ashanti Kotoko, the Ghanaian club have named new captain ahead of the match, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Ghana side who has been in the country capital Accra preparing for the all important match on Sunday night announced Felix Annan a substantive captain after the departure of Amos Frimpong from the club.

Ashanti played three warm up matches in order to get ready for the match scheduled for Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the team on Sunday paid a courtesy call to king of Ashanti Asantehene Otumfuo Tutu II as the ready to hit Nigeria shore.

Ashanti Kotoko emerged the champions of Ghana Normalization committee competition and earned $50,000.
