CAFCL: Dieng Aliou of Al Ahly SC Wins Player of The Week

Malian player, Dieng Aliou of Al Ahly has been named the player of the week after the first leg matches of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, BSNSport.com.ng reports.
Dieng after his dazzling performance against Mamelodi Sundowns in Cairo beat competition from Kaizer Chiefs’ striker Samir Nurkovic, Zakaria Draoui of CR Belouizdad and Miloud Rebiai of Mouloudia Club d'Algiers.
The midfielder amass a vote of 84% as against Nurkovic's 14%, Draoui and Rebiai's 1% in a poll.
His involvement in the match against the South Africans was tremendous with perfect tackles, splitting passes and covering well for the defense.
The 23-year-old's fine pass from the centre circle located Taher Mohamed Taher in the 23rd minutes to give the Red Devils the first goal in two zero win over Sundowns.
