CAFCL Final: Junior Ajayi Hope To Add Trophy To His Collections

By Sampson Adedeji With few days to the final of the CAF champions league against rival Zamalek, Nigeria's Super Eagles and Al Ahly of Egypt striker Junior Ajayi has said is willing to add champions league trophy to his collections, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Ajayi moved to the Egyptian club in 2016 from CS Sfaxien and was instrumental in the club winning the league same year. The following year he netted 9 goals as Al Ahly retained the title at the expense of arch rival Zamalek. Former Shooting Stars player is not new to Zamalek as he scored a brace against them in last year Super Cup. The two teams will clash again this Friday in the final of the champions league and Ajayi is ready to shock Zamalek again. "I love to play in big games because it highlights your capabilities as a player," Ajayi said. "I’ve been lucky in scoring against big teams and I feel very happy when I do this. "I want to score more goals and hope to win the Champions League, because it’s the only title I still haven’t managed. I hope we can do it because our fans love this tournament so much," he told FIFA. The match is slated for Cairo international stadium and the winner will pocket $2.5 million.
