Though his Sudanese team is not doing too well in the ongoing African Champions League, former Shooting Stars striker, Tony Edjomariegwe is still making headlines in the competition, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
  After spending few years in the Egyptian premier league, Tony decided to pitch his tent with Al Merrikh of Sudan.   The Sudanese team played away to defending champion, Ahly on Saturday evening and suffered a 3-2 defeat.   It was Sherif that put the host ahead as early as 2nd minute before he completed his brace in the 34th minute.   The constant of Tony to the backline of Ahly finally paid off as he was able to reduce the deficit in the 43rd minute.   Saeedelding put Merrikh level in the 69th minute but an own from their defender Karshoum condemned the team to a defeat.   The result dropped Merrikh to the third position on the table with 4 in 3 matches.
