CAFCL: I Trust My Teammates They Can Do It Without Me - Mbaoma

  By Sampson Adedeji Injured Enyimba international striker Victor Mbaoma has thrown his weight behind the team to come out victorious in far away Omburdman, Sudan despite his absence, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Mbaoma will not be available when the People Elephant played away to Sudanese side Al Mereikh in the first leg first round match on Wednesday next week due to injury. The lanky striker who netted the only goal of the game against Rahimo of Burkinafaso in the first leg of the preliminary round of the was ruled out earlier this week because of injury he sustained in the reverse fixture against Rahimo at Enyimba international stadium in Aba. While speaking to Brila fm Radio, Mbaoma said is not happy missing the game but believe the team is up to the task. I’m not happy about it, it’s quite unfortunate but the most important thing is for us to win and I wish the team the best of luck. Sometimes it always happen like this but there is nothing we can do, it will be difficult for the team though but we have choices and as well trust the guys that they will get the job done," he told brila. Enyimba remained the olny team in Nigeria to have lifted the champions league title, when they did it twice in 2003 and 2004.
