Daniel Akpeyi on the other hand was outstanding in the semifinal clash between his club, Kaizer Chiefs and Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
Akpeyi who was in goal for the entire duration in the game played in South Africa made outstanding saves that sent his team to their first ever CAF Champions League final and eventually won the man of the match.
