CAFCL: Ogbeide focus for better result in Morocco after home loss
By Babatunde Abidoye
Solomon Ogbeide , the head Coach of Lobi Stars, says his team has moved on from their 1-0 loss against Wydad Casablanca in match day three of the CAF Champions League on Saturday at Nnmadi Azikwe Stadium.
The coach feels, and rightly so, that his team didn’t create enough goal scoring chances to score against the reigning African champions.
“We played a very good team. They knew us, we knew them and you could see they planned for our strong points.
I think we created chances but not enough. It is a bitter feeling because we played very well against a very good team but we couldn’t score. The goal alluded us,” Ogbeide analysed.
Ogbeide says that the team’s focus has now shifted to the match after the home loss result.
“We have to go back and plan. We have to focus for the next game in Morocco.
“I know that the conditions will favour them in Morocco including the weather and the field conditions. We have to prepare well for the return leg. It is not about home and away but points. Our aim is to finish amongst the best two teams in our group.”
