In order to motivate the team for the upcoming CAF champions league match against Tanzania champion Simba SC, Plateau state Governor Solomon Lalong on Wednesday visited Plateau United In training, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Jos based team qualified to represent the country after they finished top of the league table last season after point per game was used to determined the position of each club.
During the visit, the governor charged the players and the entire team to bring home the trophy for the state and Nigeria as a whole.
Enyimba was the first and last club to win the coveted trophy for the country, as they clinched the title in 2003 and 2004 back to back.
The governor also inspect the entire surroundings of the stadium and ensured everything is in order for the weekend clash.
Apart from Plateau United, Enyimba international is the other club representing Nigeria in the competition.
