CAFCL: Wydad Gets CAF's Deadline Over Chikatara
Sampson Adedeji
Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has sent an official letter to Wydad AC threatening them with disqualification from the next Champions League edition because they're owing Nigeria International, Chisom Chikatara,
BSNsports.com.ng can report.
During this past season, CAF decided that any club with unpaid dues will be disqualified and won’t be a part of the next CAF Champions League edition.
The reason behind Wydad's potential suspension is unpaid dues to former Abia Warriors attacker, who has been a part of the Moroccan club squad from 2016 to 2018.
The Moroccan giants have a chance until the 15th of August to pay the player, but if the deadline is reached without payment, the next CAF Champions League will be without the former champion.
