CAFCL: Young Africans Manager Rues Missed Chances
Sampson Adedeji
Manager of Young Africans of Tanzania, Nasreddine Nabi has rued the missed chances in the CAF Champions League match against Nigeria's Rivers United, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
After suffering a 0-1 home defeat in the first leg match in Dare Salam, Young African still lost by the same margin in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, and crashed out 2-0 aggregate.
While reacting to the outcome of the game, Nabi said they created many chances in both legs but failed to convert any and further complained about penalties calls that were ignored by the match officials.
"In football, you have to score when you have the opportunity if you lose the chances then you will pay for it.
That was the situation in Dare Salam and now in Nigeria, I think we don't have a chance because in Dare Salam we created five or six chances we failed to score, and here in Port-Harcourt, the first 30 minutes we created so many opportunities and we have two penalties and look at it on television you will see it but I accept the result," he said.
