CAHB Women Championship: Guinea beats Nigeria to 7th Place

The position of Nigeria in the standings of the 24th edition of the African Senior Women Handball Championship ongoing in Yaoundé Cameroon after their last classification match against Guinéa has now been known, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The 1991 champions who returned to the competition following a 27-year absence finished eight after losing to Guinea on Thursday.
The Nigerian team put up a good fight from the beginning of the tie restricting the Guineans to a draw at 11-11
The national handball team could not sustain to keep their opponents at bay as their effort ended up in a 25-21 loss.
At the end of their campaign, Coach Salami team could only secure a win which was against Kenya in the group stages of the competition after six matches.
