Cameroon Appoints Seedorf, Kluivert as Head Coach, Assistant

Cameroon
By Admin Defending African Champions Cameroon have appointed former Netherlands international team mates Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert as the new head coach of the team, Basic Sports in Nigeria (BSN Sports) reports. The appointment was made following the sacking of former coach Hugo Broos and the collapse of a deal to bring in former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson. Seedorf, a legendary former midfielder who played for Real Madrid, Ajax and A.C Milan during his career, has not had much success as a coach. He started his career as coach of his former club Milan, leaving after six months and hasn’t had much luck since. Kluivert is another legendary former player with limited experience as a coach. The two are old friends, having both started their careers as members of the ‘golden generation’ at Ajax Amsterdam. Cameroon hosts the next African Cup of Nations in June next year and hope the duo can defend the title they won unexpectedly in Gabon in 2017.
