Carabao Cup: Ighalo Pushes United To Quarter Finals

By Emediong Silver

Odion Jude Ighalo once again failed to score for Manchester United as they zoomed past Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium in the English Football League Cup.

Ighalo has now started two consecutive matches for Manchester United in the Carabao cup but yet to find the back of net. The former Super Eagles pointman had the best opportunity in the first half when he rounded off the Brighton goalkeeper only to hit the side net. However, he helped Manchester United lead at halftime courtesy Scot McTominay.

In the second half he was substituted for Marcus Rashford who brought in the spark for Manchester United.

Juan Mata doubled the scoreline for Manchester United before Paul Pogba made it 3-0.
