Carabao Cup: Iheanacho Expresses Delight Over Goal Against Millwall

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has referred to the goal he scored in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup as a sweet goal, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Former Manchester City forward was the star of the show on Wednesday after he netted a rocket goal in the 2-0 win against championship side Millwall.
Reacting to the result and overall performance of the team, Iheanacho expressed his delight toward the goal while also praising his teammates for a job well done.
“It was a sweet goal, a rocket, and we’re happy with that.
“It was teamwork and we’re happy going into the next round. We put the work in today. We defended well in the last 10 minutes and we got the first goal early in the second half.

It was a good counter-attack from the team and I took the ball well and tried to put it in the bottom corner, but the ‘keeper parried it.
“Ade finished it well. It was a difficult finish, a difficult technique, but he guided it in, so it’s a good finish.
“It was a really tough game. They’re a good side, they gave us a good game. It wasn’t easy in the first half, but in the second half, the space was there. We got our chances and we saw it through," he told the club media.
