Champions League: Liverpool ease past RB Leipzig to advance to quarter finals

Champions
Liverpool advanced to the quarterfinals of the Champions League following a 2-0 victory (aggregate 4-0) over RB Leipzig.  The visitors started with an intend as they tried to exploit Liverpool's high defensive line, but Forsberg, who tried to latch on Kampl's long ball, got the timing of his run wrong and the offside flag was off. Some minutes to half time, Diogo Jota came close to giving Liverpool the lead. Sadio Mane's flick released Jota into space, he drove at the edge of the penalty area before poking a shot towards the goal. Gulacsi stood his ground well, to push the ball away for safety. Kluivert dug a cross out and the ball reached Sorloth at the far post, but his looped header rebounded straight back off the crossbar. Liverpool finally took the chance and the front three combined perfectly. Mane played the ball through for Jota, who spots Salah in plenty of space. He flicked the ball into his path before Salah cut inside onto his left foot and slid the ball past Gulacsi and into the bottom corner. Four minutes later, Liverpool stretched their lead through Sadio Mane after the Senegalese received a whipping cross from substitute Origi.
