Champions League: Opening week fixtures and what to look out for

Europe's premier club competition, the Champions League is back! The 2020/21 season kicks off on Tuesday night, and it's not short of exciting fixtures.

Tuesday's fixtures

  • Rennes vs Krasnodar
  • Chelsea vs Sevilla
  • Zenit vs Club Brugge
  • Lazio vs Dortmund
  • Dynamo Kyiv vs Juventus
  • Barcelona vs Ferencváros
  • Paris vs Man. United
  • Leipzig vs Başakşehir

Wednesday fixtures

  •  Salzburg vs Lokomotiv Moskva
  • Bayern vs Atlético
  •  Real Madrid vs Shakhtar
  • Inter Milan vs Mönchengladbach
  • Olympiacos vs Marseille
  • Man. City vs Porto
  • Ajax vs Liverpool
  • Midtjylland vs Atalanta

What to look out for

Chelsea hosting Europa League champions Sevilla is one of the highlight fixtures, while there is also the Paris clash as PSG host Man United. The latter will be interesting to watch as the  Parisians will be out to revenge their loss at the hands of United two seasons ago, and Edinson Cavani might make his debut against his former employers. On Wednesday, Liverpool will play away to Dutch champions Ajax, with Man City hosting Porto.
