The club of Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi West Bromwich Albion decided to close stadium the Hawthorns in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coronavirus affected the world of football in many ways; players have been diagnosed with the illness while associations and federations postpone their leagues, BSN Reports

The Football Association (FA) released a statement last Thursday extending the suspension of all professional football until the 30th of April. Following the movement of the Euro 2020 to the summer of 2021.

Subsequently, the Baggies decided to shut down The Hawthorns Stadium after issuing a statement on Monday afternoon. Meaning that all ticket sales will be suspended until further notice.

West Brom sit second in the Championship table with one point separating them from the leaders Leeds United, with serious ambition of promotion.
