Championship: Akpom Scores on Middlesbrough Debut

It was a sweet debut for England Junior international striker, Chuba Akpom, as he scored on his debut for Middlebrough, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Akpom joined Boro this summer from the Greek side, Paok Saloniki, after a successful spell last season.

Boro took on Queen Park Rangers at the Loftus Road and it was Akpom that broke the deadlock in the 19th minutes.

Bright Osayi-Samuel equalised for QPR in the 28ths minute and first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

The second half resumed with Boro dominating possession with Akpom posing serious threat to their backline of host, as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Despite representing England Junior Three Lions, Akpom is still eligible to play for Super Eagles.
