Championship: Ekong Injured in Watford FC Debut

It was mixed feelings for Nigeria's Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong as he suffered injury in his debut for English championship side Watford FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Hornets signed Ekong this summer from Italia Serie A side Udinese after having ram successful out last season.
Ekong missed Super Eagles second international friendly match against Carthage Eagles of Tunisia as he took excuse to return Vicarage Road ahead of Friday match against Derby County.
The team head coach Vladimir Ivic started the Nigeria defender in his 4 man defence.
After spending the whole of the marshalling former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, Ekong was substituted in 70th minute for Cathcart after he sustained an injury.
Jao Pedro netted the only goal of the game in the 76th minute as Watford claimed 1 -0 win.
The extent of Ekong injury is yet to be ascertained but the coach will hope is available for the next match.
