It was a memorable outing for Nigeria's Super Eagles and Watford FC defender, William Troost Ekong as he netted his first goal for the club in their 3-2 win over visiting Conventry City, BSNSports.com.ng can reports .
The former Bursaspor of Turkey defender who was tested for mid week match against Stoke returned to the starting line up and make his presence count.
After a scoreless first half, it was Andre Gray that opened the scores sheet in the 54th minute before Conventry responded with two quick fire goals from Hamer and Walker.
Ekong restored parity in the 66th minute before Senegalese international Ismaila Sarr netted the winning goal from the penalty spot.
The Hornets continue to impress as they wish to return to the elite division next season.
