Championship: Mikel Obi Up For Stoke City Player Of The Month

Former Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has been nominated for Stoke city Player of The Month award for April, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Nigeria captain left Turkish Super Lig club, Tranzonspor last summer and teemed up with the Potters in England second tier.
Mikel who featured in every game played in produced a number of solid performances in the heart of midfield.
The 34-year-old used all of his experience to break up and start play, as well as helping to support the younger players around him.
His effectiveness was clear for all to see in the final game of the month as he put in a man of the match display against Nottingham Forest.
He was nominated alongside Jacob Brown, and Adam Davies and Rhy Norrington-Davies.
The Supporters have until 12noon on Monday 3rd May to cast a vote.
