CHAN 2020 : Home Eagles to face Togo

In a bid to secure its place in the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Hawks of Togo on Sunday edged Squirrels of Benin in the second leg of the first round qualifier.

BSN Sports reports that the first leg played last weekend in Port Novo ended goalless but Tchakei goal in the second leg played at the Lome stadium on Sunday ensured Togo progressed on 1-0 aggregate.

The Togolese 1-0 victory was enough to see off Benin Republic and ensured they keep a date with Nigeria's home Super Eagles who were drawn bye in the first round.

The Nigeria side finished as runner up in the last edition of the competition played in Morocco.

Hawks will host the first leg on September 20th -22nd while second leg is scheduled for Nigeria on October 18th to 20th, 2019.

Cameroon has been picked as the host for the 2020 edition of the competition.
