Almost seven months after a gruesome injury kept him out of action, 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup winner, Chidera Ezeh is back in action and is happy to get his fledging career back on track.
Ezeh was a member of the 2013 set of Golden Eaglets and was on the path to a, potentially, bright senior career before he suffered a major setback.
The midfielder joined Porto as a 16-year-old for his first professional contract, but was loan to Portimonense.
He has gone back and forth between the clubs and currently at Porto II, he returned to play 66 minutes in an away game against Vitória S.C. B.
Speaking with BSN Sports the 20-year-old said, ‘I was injured early in the season and I was out for 6 months and some weeks. I joined Porto B and made my first start where we won against Guimares B 1-0.
‘I was very happy, being out for 6 months is difficult, I missed football. So getting back in form and the stamina I showed is good for me,’ he explained.
