Chidoka, Tolulope Oguntimehin, Ikenna Others Win in FCT SWAN Election

COMRADE CHIDOKA: A WORTHY AMBASSADOR Ndubueze Chidoka chairman, Tolulope Oguntimehin vice chairman, Salifu Abubakar Usman Treasurer, Albert Akota Assistant secretary and Joel Ajayi Financial Secretary all won their respective posts unopposed. The only post that was keenly contested for is the General Secretary where Ikenna Okonkwo emerged winner, beating Chris Onekpegu with 57 votes against 34 votes. Meanwhile the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, FRCN Headquarters Chapel has hailed the election of one of its members, Mr. Ndubueze Chidoka, as the Chairman of FCT Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN. No doubt, Mr. Chidoka's unopposed election clearly shows that, he is unanimously accepted based on his proven merit, trust, confidence and commitment to the development of the Association. His election coming barely a month to World Cup in Russia where Nigeria will prominently feature, we are convinced that he will galvanize members of the Association for a robust reporting of the tournament. We are fully convinced that Comrade Chidoka, like many of our Ambassadors, Will represent the Chapel and the entire FRCN well, by transforming the FCT SWAN. While thanking members of FCT SWAN for finding Mr. Chidoka worthy to be their Chairman, we pledge our support to him towards ensuring that he justifies the confidence repose in him.
