FC Ifeanyi Ubah goalkeeper Alozie Chinedu has expressed his confidence in making the cut for the national U23 team, BSNSports reports. Chinedu further added that he has numerous quality traits he can add to the squad as the current best goalkeeper in the Nigerian Professional Football League. Alozie was one of three FC Ifeanyi Ubah players invited to camp by head coach Imama Amakapabo, as he was his surprised by the call-up, adding that it was long overdue. “I was really happy about it. Thought I had my hopes high, I was expecting it and I was happy when I received the text that I have been invited to the national team.” The race to be picked among players that will remain in camp is ongoing as more players are being dropped but Alozie insists that he will stay on as he is bringing a lot to the team in terms of exposure and experience. “Our team here (FCIU) no one believed in us when the season started and today we are here. I have accumulated the most clean sheets in the league and I believe that if I can do it here, I can still do it with the national team."
