Chukwu
Chukwu Decries Level Of Nigeria Football By Sampson Adedeji Former Nigeria international Christian Chukwu has lamented over the poor state of Nigeria Football, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Chukwu while speaking to Ahmad Emmanuel on Jatto FM, said the situation should be blame on the people in charge of the game in the country. He further said, not having local players in the Super Eagles is not a good omen and should be corrected. He further explained that the Super Eagles coach should be guided because he didn't know Nigeria. " Things have changed, when we are playing we are amateur and we are good but now I can not say because parent want their kids to play football because there is money there. "I think our football is going down because we are not doing proper programmes, we don't have grassroot and academicals,  therefore, our football is going down. "We have to revive it, that is why foreign coach will invite foreign players no local and is not auguring well for our football. We are blaming the coach but if the coach invite them to the national team, they will be eager to go outside the country but because they are not after the country. "Whoever that we have in charge of the national team should be guided because he doesn't know Nigeria much, and we must let him know how our country is and how we can get the best out of our local football," he said. Chukwu captained Nigeria to its first African Cup Of Nations title in 1980 in Nigeria.
