Chukwu Holds Thanksgiving On Sunday

Nigeria's football legend and former Green Eagles captain, Christian Chukwu, held a thanksgiving service at St. Philip Anglican Church, Obe, Nkanu West LGA, Enugu state on Sunday.

According to the news on Sports Yarn the event which attracted football administrators and other top personalities was organised to appreciate God after a successful treatment to correct his health challenge in a London hospital.

The former Super Eagles coach arrived in the country last month after months of medical treatment.

Recall that Nigeria business mogul Femi Otedola paid for his trip and treatment of his illness in a London hospital.

BSN Sports reports that Christian Chukwu was Nigeria's Super Eagles captain in 1980 when Nigeria won her first African Nations Cup in Lagos. He was also the senior national team coach before the brief illness.
