Chukwueze, Flying Eagles star listed for Euro young player of the year

Following their impressive performances in the year 2019 for their clubs and country the duo of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze and Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru have been listed for European player of the year, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chukwueze was the cynosure of all eyes at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt with his amazing performance for Super Eagles while Dele was outstanding for Flying Eagles at FIFA U20 World cup in Poland.

The award is organised by  Italian newspaper Tuttosport and has whittles down its list of the top young talents in the game.

Chukwueze is still with Spanish La Liga side Villarreal while Dele has left English Premier league champion Manchester city for Watford.

The duo will compete with Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden, Justin Kluivert, Ibrahim Konate, Mason Mount etc for the prestigious award.

Tuttosport has handed out the award to the most promising player under 21 years of age in Europe since 2003, with previous winners including Kylian Mbappe (2017), Anthony Martial (2015), Paul Pogba (2013) and Wayne Rooney (2004).
