It was the first time in three EPL seasons that the 21-year-old, Ndidi was dropped from the Foxes’ starting line-up. Brighton had Leon Balogun on the substitute’s bench for the entire duration of the game. Ndidi came on for Vicente Iborra in the 32nd minute after James Maddison was sent off for a second bookable offence.
