Coach Amapakabo reads riots act; urge players to be disciplined

Chief coach of the national U23 team, Imama Amapakabo has urged invited players to the camp to be disciplined as the team commenced preparations towards the Afcon U23 qualifiers with Sudan.

Amapakabo gave this account when he officially welcomed the players on Thursday morning.

He charged them to be focussed as the aim is for team to get the desired result.

"I officially welcome you to this camp".

"It is a privilege for you to be here".

"This is more like a Super Eagles team considering is the next to the biggest national team in the land" .

"There are millions of players across all nook and crannies the nation".

"And for you to be here is an honour because there are a lot of players out there".

" You carry the burden of over 200 million Nigerians."

" I expect you to give your best and wish you a successful stay in the camp".

The coach also gave ultimatum on the players yet to arrive to do before evening on Thursday.

Sixteen out of the 35 players invited are already in camp at the Serop Legacy hotel in Abuja.

The national U23 team will travel to Khartoum to take on Sudan on the 6th of September with the return leg slated for Asaba on the 10th.
