Comr Alambo Datonye Fred Re-Elected As Bayelsa Swan Chairman

The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN), has re-elected Comr Alambo Datonye Fred as the chairman of the association for another three years term.
The election which took place at the NUJ press Center Yenagoa on Friday saw Comr Alambo Datonye Fred re-elected after he was returned unopposed.
In his acceptance speech after thanking the members, he said. "We will work very hard to enhance the welfare of every member of swan in bayelsa State. My dream and my goal is to get swan to a higher level and pedestral in the business of sport journalism and sport writing."
"We want to leave a lasting legacy in swan bayelsa in the sense that much later we can also look back and be proud of what we have achieved together".
Mr Alambo also added that welfare and professionalism will be given attention.
"Welfare and professionalism will be given attention, capacity enhancement programs".
The chairman also added that the association will pursue vigorously to have it's own bus.
Other elected executives are Pere Amgbare (Vice Chairman), Preye Yabrifa (Secretary) Patrick Osuagu( Assistant Secretary), Hananeel Jackson (Financial Secretary) and Dorris Francis Eniekezimene (Treasurer).
Those who witnessed the elections where Mr Bonny Nyong ( Swan Vice Chairman, South South), Samuel Numonengi ( NUJ Chairman Bayelsa State), Chief Patimidi Tukuru ( Permanent Secretary Ministry of Youths and sports) who represented the commissioner and the chairman of Swan Rivers State chapter, Mr Jim Opiki.
