Confirmed: CAF Champions League quarter-finalists

Confirmed:
African club football has confirmed its best eight football teams in 2020/21 after the CAF Champions League group stages concluded last weekend. One of sub-saharan Africa’s most supported clubs, Kaizer Chiefs, changed history to show they have continental ambitions after qualifying for the quarter-finals for the first time. Other than the regular strong competitors like Al Ahly, Esperance and Wydad Casablanca, there’s another less familiar name like Belouizdad. As far as the biggest absentees, there will be no Zamalek, TP Mazembe and Raja Casablanca. All quarter-finalists by ranking:
  • Al Ahly (Egypt)
  • Esperance (Tunisia)
  • Wydad (Morocco)
  • Mamelodi Sundowns (SA)
  • Simba (Tanzania)
  • MC Alger (Algeria)
  • CR Belouizdad (Algeria)
  • Kaizer Chiefs (SA).
