The team on Wednesday, lost the Kenyans in straight sets. In the Pool B match, Albertina/Nnoruga lost to Phosca/Wavinya of Kenya 0-2 (11-21, 14-21) while Amara/Franco versus Kenya's Gaudencia Nakhumicha/Blaque could not salvage the situation losing 0-2 (14-21, 14-21). Nigeria had been given a work over with a 2-0 win of (21-0, 21-0) in what should have been it first match after the absence Democratic Republic of Congo. Nigeria despite the loss however is among the Beach Volleyball Continental Cup Confirmed qualified teams to the quarter-finals in the women event alongside Egypt, Mozambique, Morocco, Kenya, and Cape Verde. The team's last match is against Cape Verde on Thursday.
