The Federal High Court in Jalingo on Thursday presided over by Hon. Justice S.D Pam has dismissed the preliminary objection filed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) chosen one in the Taraba Football Association election, Timothy Heman and Ors challenging the jurisdiction of the court, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The judge said the preliminary objection challenging whether or not the Court has jurisdiction over football matters is incompetent and lack merit, hence ruled in favour of factional Taraba State Football Association Chairman, Sansui Muhammed.
Recall that Timothy Heyman was declared winner in a separate elections after Sanusi Muhammed emerged winner in another election producing two factional Taraba State Football Association Chairmen, the matter which they're still challenging in court.
Backed by the NFF, Heyman had challenged that football matters cannot be determined by civil court but that was dismissed by Federal High Court Jalingo.
The substantive matter will resume hearing in the next adjourned date.
