Covid-19: AFN Postpones All Athletics Activities in The Country

The Athletes Federation of Nigeria ( AFN) has halted all athletics events all over the country following the outbreak of Corona virus around the world.

The federal government through Minister of Youth and sports Honourable Sunday Dare announced the indefinite suspension of National Sports festival few days back to curtailed the virus spread, BSN Reports.

The Athletics body confirmed the suspension through a press release and also stated that the suspension commence with immediate effect.

AFN followed Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) who announced the suspension of all football activities in the country untill 14th of April.

AFN also stated that they will continue to monitor the development to determine their next line of action.
