Football stakeholders across Federal Capital Territory have been commended for complying with the government and Nigeria Football Federation directives during the lockdown.

Chairman, FCT Football Association Alhaji Mouktar Mohammed made the commendation on Thursday in Abuja while stressing that only government and the NFF have the power to give directives on when the game will return.

He appeals to club management to continue to assist in meeting players demand during the lockdown and urged the players to continuing keeping fit within their environment pending when situation comes under control.

"I must commend all football stakeholders in Abuja for complying with the government directives on lockdown. We understand how much all of you miss the beautiful game and how difficult it is to comply with the stay-at-home order.

"However, we still need to endure until when the federal government and the NFF lift the suspension on football activity nationwide."

The chairman warned football stakeholders against any act of lawlessness and confrontation with constituted authority or any act of indiscipline that is capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

Mouktar, once again thanked the NFF for sharing food items to 14 FCT FA affiliated clubs in the wake of the corvid-19 ravaging the whole world.
