Covid-19: Rivers United Players Set For Nigeria Return After Testing Negative Sampson Adedeji After the second test proved negative, 4 remaining Rivers United players are set to return back to the country any moment from now, BSNsports.com.ng can report. Four players namely: Theophilus Afelokhai, Fortune Omoniwari, Ricard Christopher, and Joseph Onoja were said to have tested positive for coronavirus just before the first leg of the preliminary round against Young African of Tanzania. Pride of Rivers went ahead to win the game 0-1 without the affected players. The rest of the team were allowed to travel back to Nigeria while the affected players were isolated and has to undergo a second test. The second test conducted returned negative on Friday and they've been released and allowed to return to Nigeria. Despite their release, they will not be available for the second leg match slated for Sunday in Port-Harcourt.
