  Covid 19: CAF To Partner WHO By Sampson Adedeji As the controversies continued to trail the Coronavirus tests in football across Africa, Africa soccer governing body (CAF), is set to control the situation, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Since the return of football in the continent, teams especially the away sides have cried foul over results of the covid 19 which always affected their teams. Recently in the CAF Champions League, Al Mereikh of Sudan players were removed from taking part in the game due to failure of Covid-19 tests involving Simba of Tanzania and the visitors ended up losing the game. Also in the 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier, Squirrel of Benin Republic refused to play against host Lone Stars of Sierra Leone in the final match day after 5 of its players were adjudged to have been tested positive for Coronavirus. Executive Committee under Patrice Motsepe in their meeting has decided to take over the testing of players across Africa in both international and inter-club competitions . In order to achieve that the body decided to partner World Health organization ( WHO) , who will take charge of the testing and the release of results. It's remained unclear if WHO will swing into immediately as the inter-club competitions resume this weekend.
