Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time, therefore, has been ruled out of Juventus’ Champions League clash with Barcelona.
The 35-year-old first positive for the virus while on international duty with Portugal and has not been selected by Juventus since then.
A reunion with Messi was on the cards with Juve fans having been confident that the player would test negative in the club’s latest tests but UEFA protocol that allows a player to play if only he’s tested negative 24 hours prior to Kick-Off, did apply for Ronaldo.
The player is expected to be in isolation for a longer period and would only return if he tests negative of the virus.
