  Crown FC Commends Governor Seyi Makinde On Reconstruction of Soun Stadium By Editor Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso have expressed her profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde, for the ongoing construction of the Soun Township Stadium in Ogbomoso to a first class sporting arena. The Acting General Manager of the club, Mr Oyekunle Oyeleye, who was in company with the club Team Manager, Welfare Director, Marketing Officer and Media Manager, in persons of Monsur Suleiman, Tayo Oyebowale, Agara Busari and Tunji Alabi paid an unscheduled visit to the construction site commended the governor for the giant strides. The Project Supervisor Builder Abiola Abiodun, who took the Management team round, showed them the prototype of the stadium to be constructed and explained certain key areas to them. The leader of the team, Mr Oyeleye Oyekunle, who could not hide his joy, appreciated the Oyo State government for the project and charged the contractors to do a quality job. " Words cannot express how grateful to the Executive Governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for this laudable project. "Ogbomoso is blessed with many talents but lack of modern facilities to train have affected them greatly over the years. So we are so happy that Ogbomoso will be having a state of the art stadium that will fine-tune the abound talents. " The stadium apart from hosting first class sporting tournaments will attract many clubs for their preseason tours and many talents will spring up to use the facilities to attain greater heights in life. " The economic activities in the town will no doubt improve when the place is being put to use while the state internally generated revenue in that sector will as well increase . " The Soun Stadium is the home ground of Crown FC, reason for our visit. On behalf of Crown FC, I say thank you to the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the Honourable Commissioner For Youth and Sports Development, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, for making this project a possibility", Kunle Oyeleye said. According to the Project Supervisor, Builder Abiola Abiodun, apart from the existing pavilion stand, the project will accommodate more spectators when completed with a standard football pitch,a VIP stand, tastefully equipped changing rooms, conference hall, offices, modern track lanes for athletes, standard score board, reserve bench stands, media stand, amongst others. The Acting General Manager, Mr Kunle Oyekunle, charged the Project Supervisor to ensure that a quality job is done. " With the good job done at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, by your company, I plead that you do a more aesthetically durable and quality job here by your company", the Acting General Manager urged. Until the completion of the piece of architectural excellence, the Soun Township Stadium, Crown FC will have an alternative pitch to use as home ground for the yet to commence 2020/2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) Season.
